PostSubject: How to Post Photos From the Meetup   Mon Aug 04, 2008 8:59 am

We have our own photo group at Flickr where you can share your photos with everyone!

http://www.flickr.com/groups/tbcorgimeet/

In order to share photos with the group you need to have an account with Flickr. Flickr has two levels of accounts: Free and Pro. Free accounts have a limit of 100MB worth of photos each calendar month. This is a bandwidth limit, and not an amount of space that you have on Flickr servers. If you have a free account, you'll see your limit on the upload page. If you have an account with Yahoo! you can sign into Flickr using that without having to create a new account at all.

Free Account Features:
  • 100 MB monthly upload limit (10MB per photo)
  • 3 sets
  • Photostream views limited to the 200 most recent images
  • Post any of your photos in up to 10 group pools
  • Only smaller (resized) images accessible (though the originals are saved in case you upgrade later)

If you find yourself hitting your limit, try a Pro account. Or, you can shoot your photos at a lower resolution or resize them to be more "web-friendly" (like 300KB instead of 5MB).

A pro account is US $24.95 a year and features Unlimited photo uploads (20MB per photo), Unlimited video uploads (90 seconds max), Unlimited storage, Unlimited bandwidth, Unlimited photosets, Archiving of high-resolution original images,
The ability to replace a photo, Post any of your photos or videos in up to 60 group pools, Ad-free browsing and sharing, View count and referrer statistics.

Once you have signed up with your account please ask to join our group. Once you've joined you can share all of your photos with our group! There is an FAQ at Flickr all about sharing photos with groups and other information that will help you get started.

We hope to see lots of your meetup photos in the future Smile
